A Phuket fishing park is a great Phuket activity for teens and families or something to do even on a rainy day. Being an "Old Salty" I have only fished in Phuket's freshwater lakes a few times when friends or family have visited on holiday in Phuket and we didn't have the time for a full day fishing charter or at time when the weather in Phuket was too rough for fishing at sea. I can recommend two for sure to try a few hours, even a full day at a fishing lake in Phuket. The fishing is nearly always very successful and in the comfort of a private sala you can enjoy a tasty Thai restaurant meal, a couple of cold beers and catch some big fish, take bragging and boasting photos and send them back for another day.

He still has huge freshwater fish such as fish species: Alligator Gar, Amazon Redtail catfish, Asian Redtail Catfish, Giant Mekong Catfish, Indian Carp Rohu, Giant Piranha Pacu, Striped Catfish, Spotted featherback and Walking Catfish. PHUKET MONSTER FISHING PARK : For those preferring to come to the southern end of Phuket for freshwater fishing this park is certainly worth a visit. Lovely private fishing salas and restaurant make your lake fishing day pleasant and comfortable not forgetting successfully catching a variety of big freshwater species Fish over 40 kilos like arapaima, mekong catfish, Siam carp and more. I just spoke to the owner, Sebastian today and even with one of the most popular private fishing lakes they are soon to open a second venue just north of Phuket only 30 minutes from the international airport. CHALONG FISHING PARK: Chalong Fishing Park is situated as the name implies in Chalong, not far from the Chalong Pier where all of the fishing boats depart for the run out to Racha Yai and Racha Noi islands deep sea fishing areas. I have not met the owner or had the opportunity to check out this venue personally however I had heard good reports and a nice freshwater lake for a day chasing the exotic fish species of Thailand. Exotic Fishing Thailand: Reports of reasonable fishing at this lake however a few negatives to note. It is expensive and a long way from Phuket. The service is reviewed as not friendly. Reports from my own customers who had gone there also stated the fishing was ok, but the attitude towards them was enough to say they will not go again. There are the best Phuket fishing lakes much closer, great fishing and not as expensive with a warm welcome and friendly service.
