For your fishing in Phuket, we run 6 of these tough and functional Prasert fishing Thai-style fishing vessels. They are all very much the same just with different cabin design so they are chartered out by roster so all crews get their fair share of work. These are so popular when looking for the best things to do in Phuket.
The boats ranging from 42 to 48 foot are inspected and fully serviced on the slipway annually are fully licensed as are the Captains and crews.
The captains and crew are Phuket local people with years of experience after growing up on the boats. Some speak English well but most have just enough very basic to get by for a day fishing. Our office (fluent English) is always on call from the Captain if anything needs to be communicated.

8.30 - 9.00 am Depart from Chalong Pier towards Koh Racha Yai/Koh Racha Noi. Scenic view of Chalong Bay, Islands and way up to the Phuket Big Buddha. Cruise close by Coral Island then soon your crew will set the trolling lines chasing tuna, mackerel, mahi mahi, barracuda and sail fish. Troll the island waters with expectation of delicious, fresh fish for lunch.
12.30pm Stop in a nice tropical bay for lunch onboard. You can swim or snorkel during this time. The snorkeling is not that great but it is more fun looking around underwater with a mask.
1.30pm Head to a bottom-fishing spot and with rod and reel, fish for groupers and snappers.
5.00pm Arrive at Chalong Pier and return to your hotel.

Please note that at the cheapest of the prices for fishing in Phuket, the service, although quite adequate and many happy customers, is consistent with the budget price. If you prefer a higher standard of crew, better English, better boat, please check our higher priced boats such as Max-2 or the Deluxe Malinda or ask us for advice.
